Louise Hay Recovering from PTSD and Trauma

This post could also have been called "How to Achieve Your Goals and Attract What You Want".

When I was young, I used to read a lot of mind/body/spirit, self-help books. One book that really uplifted me was Khalil Gibran's The Prophet. I used to read it every day – one half on one day and the other half the next.

However, I was looking for practical methods to help me achieve my goals. I wanted to attract positive things into my life – a partner/relationship, more money, career success, etc.

All of the mind/body/spirit, self-help books I read said that I had to be in a positive state – mentally and emotionally positive – in order to attract the things I wanted.

Louise Hay was the first author I found who talked about difficulties. I didn't realise at the time that I was suffering from childhood trauma. I had experienced daily, sustained mental and emotional abuse within my family for many years, but I didn't even have the words to describe my experience. I didn't even understand what had happened. Any time I tried to speak about what I had experienced, people dismissed it.

And when I went away to college, I literally thought I was going crazy because I was out of that abusive environment which I had considered normal up till then. I kept going to psychiatrists, saying “I think I'm crazy”. They kept telling me, “You're not crazy”, but beyond that, they didn't help me.

A lot of us are recovering from childhood trauma, but we may not realise this.

A few years later, I discovered Louise Hay's work. She was the first author I came across who said we need to do some healing in order to bring about positive change. And healing is possible! Positive change is something we can achieve!   And it starts with healing the past.  This felt like the sun coming out from behind the clouds.

I listened to her “Love Your Body” cassette until I wore it out!

I've since learned effective ways of healing my early traumatic experiences, and I am starting to attract more of what I want.

Check out this blog post from Louise Hay: Healing from PTSD, Trauma and Mind/Body Anxiety.

Unfortunately, Louise Hay has transitioned, but fortunately, she left us a great legacy.

Are You Open to Receive?

In order to experience financial abundance, and abundance in every area of our lives, we need to open to receive.

There are many people in this world who need to learn to give.  I would argue there are many millions who need to learn to receive.

If you are not achieving the results you want, this means you are blocking yourself.  Somewhere, you have a block to receiving, be it physical, emotional or psychological.

Three of the things that can block us from receiving include:
  • anger at old incidents that wounded and scarred you
  • deeply buried anger, resentment, hatred and pain
  • the desire to blame yourself or others
There are many more.

To read more about this, and to find out what you can do to improve your results, click here to download my free ebook, "Achieving Success", which contains the 3-Step Success Formula.

If you value this information, please share this with your networks.

And for a limited time, you can download The Key to Everything for just $1.52.

You can open to receive the abundance of the universe.  Here's to your success!
