Harriet
Tubman has always been an inspiration for me since I was a young
child. Having escaped from slavery, she risked her life over and
over again to help emancipate others. They called her Moses and
sang “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot” whenever she arrived intent on
helping more to escape.
Tubman
returned to the South 19 times to help others escape from the
plantation.
Two of my favourite inspiring quotes from Harriet Tubman are:
- Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.
- Don’t ever stop. Keep going. If you want a taste of freedom, keep going.
