Review of The Angel Experiment

One thing I really enjoyed about The Angel Experiment was that it came with 21 free audio downloads - one for each day.  In other words, pay for a book, get a 21-day course.

After the usual info about angels, and a description of her first real-life encounter with angels, the author, Corin Grillo, gives us 21 ways to connect with different angels and Archangels, as well as some of the higher orders, including Cherbim and Seraphim.

Grillo's writing is clear and accessible.  The free audios include a short invocation and short  guided meditation for each day.  Each chapter gives a way to address a specific area of life with angelic guidance.  Topics include, among others,
  • Releasing Worry,
  • Releasing Grief,
  • Harmony,
  • Courage, and
  • Playfulness.
If you don't want to download the audios, the text for each is printed in the relevant chapter.  Each chapter also includes "downloads" - affirmations to help you change your life.  We are encouraged to take notes in a journal about our experiences at the end of each chapter, and to review these notes once the 21 days are completed.  So it really is like a course.

One thing that did not work for me was Grillo's repeated use of terms like "God/Creator/Source".  Being a Buddhist, I do not believe in a "God/Creator/Source". The author states early on in the book that she is not religious - so why use religious terms?  However, if you relate to these terms, you may enjoy this.

Another slightly strange note is when Grillo, towards the end of the book, asks the question, "based on your findings ... are angels real?".  Having asked and answered this question, sharing her experiences, at the beginning of the book, it seemed out of place and unnecessary to ask it again.

I doubt whether someone who is convinced that angels don't exist will be interested in this book.  But if you want to strengthen, and gain clarity about, your connection with angels, I heartily recommend The Angel Experiment.

The Miracles of Archangel Michael

I read The Miracles of Archangel Michael because I wanted to get more of a sense of this Archangel. I was not brought up to believe in angels and, as I have said before, I did not used to believe in them.
So I achieved my goal. I now have a much clearer idea of who Archangel Michael is, and of his energy and what he represents.
Archangel Michael is the angel of protection. He also gives confidence. If you are experiencing fear, you can call on Archangel Michael to protect you.
The Miracles of Archangel Michael mostly tells the same story over and over again – loads of people have narrowly escaped car accidents or had other problems with their cars, and Archangel Michael rescued them and protected them. If you drive a lot and/or have a fear of having a collision, driving off the road or some type of car accident, The Miracles of Archangel Michael is for you.
This book contains a couple of useful bits of information: you can call on Michael to provide psychic protection, and he will. Unfortunately, this was not explored very much in the book.
The other piece of information I found particularly useful is that Michael is a “Mr. Fix-It”. You can call on him when something,such as a household appliance or your car, stops working and he will make it work again. I have tried this several times, on my central heating and on my TV remote. It definitely worked, but unfortunately, the remote has now stopped working again. Michael, where are you???
If you don't know much about Archangel Michael and you want to find out more, this is as good a place as any to start.
However, the best book I have found about Archangels so far is Angel Astrology 101, which is a very practical guide.

Please share this with your networks, and please leave your comments below.  Thanks.

Angel Astrology 101 (Part 2)

Angel Astrology 101
If you have been reading my recent blog posts, you know I am working with angels more and more these days. Angels have sustained me through my cancer journey. Click here to read more.

Each chapter of Angel Astrology 101 starts with a chart that shows which areas of your life that angel can help you with.
For example:
  • Archangel Chamuel helps with money matters and finding lost objects;

  • Archangel Raguel helps us to hear the answers to our prayers;

  • Archangel Sandalphon helps with creativity and creative projects; and so forth.
I find these charts particularly useful. Whatever problem or challenge you are facing, look for the appropriate Archangel in Angel Astrology 101, and ask for help from that angel.

You may be familiar with some off the Archangels, such as Gabiel, Michael and Raphael.   Angel Astrology 101 can help you get to know less well-known Archangels.

Doreen Virtue is well known for her work with angels, and teaming up with astrology Yasmin Bolan is an inspired idea.
